E-Zone and E-Commerce

Netherlands Antilles Tax Incentive For E-Commerce Businesses

In 2001 new legislation for E-Zones came into effect in The Netherlands Antilles.

Its goal is to create a favorable environment for e-commerce activities based in The Netherlands Antilles. It provides an exemption from turnover taxes and import duties, whereas the profit tax rate is kept at 2% only.

In order to comply with the legislation, the E-commerce companies must meet certain requirements to obtain the official E-Zone status.

The E-Zone offers an excellent opportunity to those using the worldwide web for their international business transactions such as advertising, selling products, services or downloads.

Curaçao is also an attractively regulated gaming jurisdiction with a favorable tax regime.
